Ingredients:
- 1 cup wild rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
In a large pot, cook wild rice according to package instructions using chicken broth for added flavor
In another pot, cook diced chicken until no longer pink
Remove and set aside
In the same pot, melt butter and saut onions and garlic until translucent
